The present terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the Prize Draw for
the Athletes and Education Survey (the “Survey”) and constitute a binding
agreement between all entrants and the International Olympic Committee (the
“Promoter”):
- The Survey
is organised and promoted by the Promoter: whose registered office is at
Chateau de Vidy, 1007 Lausanne, Switzerland.
- Employees
of the Promoter their family members, or agents or anyone else connected
in any way with the Survey, shall not be permitted to enter the Prize Draw.
- There
is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to take part in the Prize Draw
for the survey.
- To
enter this Prize Draw, entrants must create complete the Survey and
provide their email address.
- Closing
date for completion of the Survey and entering the Prize Draw will be Tuesday
31st May 2016. After this date the Survey will close and no
further opportunities will be available to complete the Survey and enter
the Prize Draw.
- Subject
to clause 8 below, the prize for each winner is: a Sports kit bag, soft
document folder, battery recharger pack, memory stick, key ring, notepad
and pen (the “Prize”). 20 prizes will be available for 20 winners, to be
chosen according to clause 9 below.
- The
Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Survey and these terms
and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or
military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of
any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the
Promoter’s control. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to
entrants as soon as possible.
- No
cash alternative to the Prize will be offered. The Prize is not
transferable. The Prize is subject to availability and the IOC reserves
the right to substitute any Prize with another of equivalent value without
giving notice.
- Winners
will be chosen at random by software provided by the Promoter from all
entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents
- Winners
will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date. If a winner
cannot be contacted or does not claim the Prize within 14 days of
notification, the IOC reserves the right to withdraw the Prize from the
winner and pick a replacement winner.
- Each
winner must provide a valid postal address to which the Prize can be sent
and a valid contact number.
- The
Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Survey will
be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- By taking
part in this Survey, participants indicate his/her agreement to be bound
by these Terms and warrants that all information provided as part of the
registration process is accurate, up-to-date and complete.
- Any
personal data relating to the winners or any other entrants will be used
solely in accordance with current Swiss data protection legislation and
the following Privacy Policy found at http://onlinecourse.olympic.org/assets/privacy.php and only for the
purposes of running the Survey and delivering Prizes. Entrants’ personal
information will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s
prior consent.
- Any
query or comment related to the Survey can be addressed to Athletes and
Education Survey, c/o EdComs, Studio 1.19, Canterbury Court, 1-3
Brixton Road, London SW9 6DE, United Kingdom.
- To
the fullest extent admissible under law, the Promoter (including its
agents, subcontractors and employees) waives any guarantee, express or
implied, in relation to the Prize and disclaims all liability for any
damage, loss or claim suffered by entrants in relation to their
participation in the Survey.
- Entrants
agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter (including its agents,
subcontractors and employees) of any damage, loss or claim (including
reasonable legal fees) suffered in connection with their violation of the
present Terms or more generally their participation in the Survey.
- The Survey
and these Terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute or claim in
connection with the Survey or these Terms shall be subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lausanne.
